The Micallef Experiencia La Crema Toro 6″ x 52 is in Micallef’s Legacy Line. Purchased this as Main Street Cigar Company in Rowlett, Texas and smoked it in the lounge with friends. This stick looks good with a silky wrapper and generous cap.

The Micallef Experiencia is an aromatic cigar that has a smooth draw and provides an aesthetically pleasing thick smoke and a handsome white ash”
This stick had a great and strong aroma. While I have really enjoyed the other Micallef’s I have had, this was not to my liking and I did not get an overall balance.
After toasting the end lighting the cigar, the first few draws were bit of a punch to the face. There was no issue with the draw itself, just the taste was a bit harsh and remained that way for me through the first third of the stick. The second third mellowed out and to me it kind of had a coffee taste to it. The back third transitioned back into the harsher flavor of the first third, but not quite as bad. For me this stick changed from full flavored at the beginning and mellowed out to a medium.
As the description stated it did have a nice thick smoke coming off of it and the ash was white and nicely packed. As I said through the draw itself was easy and it burned well. We were inside and not under a ceiling fan, so it had a nice even burn. There were no issues in the construction or appearance.
It got a 94 from Cigar & Spirits Magazine and 90 Cigar Aficionado. I will have to try this again at a later date to see if I feel the same about it. While this particular smoke was not for me, I am sure there are those that would really enjoy it.
Unfortunately, I had a similar experience as Bill. The draw was more firm for me and the initial lighting was a bit rough. Mine smoothed out much quicker. The 1st half inch was rough with it hitting harshly at the back of the throat. It smoothed out quickly though and I also thought this was a medium flavored cigar with a heavy smoke. The construction and burn was even throughout. No issues or corrections needed. Thankfully, it never got harsh on me again. I thought the dominant flavor was earthy. This cigar is a Nicaraguan wrapper, San Andreas binder, and Nicaraguan, Dominican, and Panamanian filler. They are aged four years. I would recommend it for people who like a thick heavy smoke.
