Lone Elm brand from Five Points Distilling. It is a A 100% Wheat vodka. Vanilla and honey notes on the front. Clean, crisp finish on the back. MSRP $20. Here’s the tear of it…. You can only get this version from the distillery in Forney, TX. Most people want their vodka to be flavorless. The bottle you get on the shelf has been cleaned so much that it tastes like a Grey Goose or Ketel 1. The good news is that if you like Ketel 1 or Grey Goose then you can replace that $30 bottle of Grey Goose with a $20 bottle of Lone Elm. Back to the Leaded version. As a joke they call this version Leaded. What it really means is that they haven’t torn out all the flavor you might get in the tails of the vodka. This vodka has some flavor left. I can best describe it as a dryness that tempers the sweetness of the vodka and smooths out the bite you get from that pure ethanol. Highly recommended. We love this vodka.
