This is limited-edition only available in Dufry stores. This particular bottle was in a duty-free shop.  Three cask finishes are used bourbon, refill Scotch, and rum. This is the first time I’ve ever heard of a used Scotch whiskey barrel being described as a finishing barrel. The nose is sweet and very similar to Johnnie Black, but just fruitier.  Tastes of apples and coconut with a little spice.  MSRP $50. It is a shame that this can’t be the normal Johnnie Black offering. I liked the fruits that just aren’t present in the Johnnie Black. I’m not so much a fan of Johnnie Black, but it’s been a long time since I’ve had it and my impression has been that it’s boring. Maybe it’s time I give the original Black a 2nd chance. Yeah, that’s how much the Triple Cask impressed me. I’m willing to try Johnnie Black again. I paired it with a medium bodied cigar and neither competed with one another. I would pair another medium to be sure… then a 3rd just to triple check. Yum.
