This is a barrel proof bottle. It’s bottled at 120 Proof so you can adjust it to many flavor profiles with the addition of water.  The review is that it tastes of toasted malt, serious sawdust/wood plank, gum, dry stone, loose leaf tobacco, cigar box, black peppercorn, clove, mace, kid leather glove, praline, nougat, candied almond, dates, figs Sherry oak, honey wheat toast, cigar tobacco, maple syrup, dark caramel, fudge, high cocoa content dark chocolate, chocolate covered raisin.
Personally, I taste the woodiness, clove, vanilla, some honey as the sweetness. The rest I’m not so sure about. I will add that I must be tasting something interesting because I love this. Aberlour is one of my favorite scotches and this in particular my favorite from them. I’ve had a couple bottles, although they were $45 and $50 last time I bought them. The price is much higher now, but I wouldn’t say ‘skip at this price’. I’d say get it for a birthday. The MSRP is $85 now and it’s still a fantastic scotch.
