The Camacho Connecticut has an Ecuadorian CT wrapper, a Corojo binder, and Honduran and Dominican Aleman ligero long-fillers. A spicy kick with leather. Medium flavor. 5 X 50 MSRP $6. The cigar was very well constructed and neither required any correction. The draw was good and the smoke thick. The entire stick was indeed spicy with leather flavors. Interestingly, the Bluecoat Tom Collins brought out the leather taste while the other drinks did not. This smooth and spicy, not peppery, stick is an easy recommendation for almost anyone. Very nice.

We made 4 varieties of Tom Collins using Acre Two Minnies, Ol Raj Gin, Bombay Sapphire, Bluecoat Gin. The recipe used was:
2 fluid ounces gin, 1/4 cup cold sprite, 1/2 oz simple syrup,
1 fluid ounces lemon juice, 1 dash bitters, 1 slice lemon (for garnish).
In they end they both agreed on ranking of the best Tom Collins. The Bluecoat was deemed the best gin for making this drink. It had good flavor and nose. I went down well and retained some element of gin. The Sapphire and Two Minnies went down very well, but the gin was lost in them mixer and they were both considered good gins to use if you wanted your gin flavor to disappear. The Sapphire disappeared in the drink and gave an overall flavor of lemon soda. The Two Minnies similarly disappeared, but still imparted some of it’s very strong lavender flavor. Unfortunately, the Ol Raj was unpalatable and neither finished it. There was a bitter flavor and after taste that didn’t suit either of them.

Bill and Darrell mention some weird news such as the earth sandwich and spotify service to occupy your dog. They also discuss the creation of liquor bracket play. We’ll be looking for rum, bourbon, whiskey, and scotch suggestions for competition play. We’ll do 4 tier brackets for each liquor type.

Never apologize for being a geek. Had enough of that when I was a kid.
