Hats:
Fadora
The Fedora has a soft brim and indented crown typically creased lengthwise down the crown and “pinched” near the front on both sides. Fedoras have a snap brim which means it can be turned up or down.
Homburg
The Homburg is similar to a Fadora hat of stiff wool felt, characterized by a single dent running down the center of the crown, but does not have the pinched front. Or a bowler with the crease lengthwise in the crown. The bowler was incredibly popular in the 1800s.
Trilby
The Trilby also has the crown dent with not a bound brim. Also, characterized by having a shorter brim than the Fedora. Not a snap brim. They are always down in front and up in back.
Pork Pie
The Pork Pie round hat with a narrow curled-up brim. A low, flat or slightly domed crown with a crease running around the inside top edge.
