The Cigar

Drunk Chicken Original:

This is the first cigar released from Drunk Chicken.  You need to try this out.  Really good flavor, great construction, and should have a place in your humidor.   It has a great big band and a story behind how it was made.  Be sure to check out the interview with Desiree Sylver, co-owner of Drunk Chicken Cigars which is in this episode.  We think you will like Desiree as much as we did.  If Drunk Chicken is not available in your area, then go on-line and order some from there.   https://drunkchickencigars.com/.

The Liquor

Diplomatico Mantuano Rum:

This is very smooth and good tasting rum.  At the price hard to find another rum that can beat it.  No bite and good finish.  This rum paired great with the Drunk Chicken Original and will go with a wide selection of cigars.

They just established in 2019 and have 5 lines.  We have had most of them.  Be sure to give them a try!

Doubling of Human Knowledge:

Darrell read an article about the doubling of Human Knowledge (Article).

Buckminster Fuller wrote a book in 1982 that estimated that knowledge was doubling every 100yrs up until 1900. By 1945 it was doubling every 25 years, and by 1982 it was doubling every 12-13 months. IBM estimates that in 2020 human knowledge will be doubling every 12 hours.

Discuss implication.

Wikipidia “The half-life of knowledge or half-life of facts is the amount of time that has to elapse before half of the knowledge or facts in a particular area is superseded or shown to be untrue.”

To elaborate “Over time, one group of facts replaces another. As our tools and knowledge become more advanced, we can discover more — sometimes new things that contradict what we thought we knew, sometimes nuances about old things. Sometimes we discover a whole area that we didn’t know about.” A century ago, it would take 35 years for half of what an engineer learned when earning their degree to be disproved or replaced. By the 1960s, that time span shrank to a mere decade … Modern estimates place the half-life of an engineering degree at between 2.5 and 5 years.”

Did you know that the mongoose is more closely related to the polecat (feral ferret) than a goose? Seriously.
