Gurkha Park Avenue 7 x 48 Churchill A medium bodied cigar with an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade Wrapper. Nicaraguan Binder. Dominican Republic Filler. Listed as having notes of Cashews, Leather, and Cedar. Great burn, construction is great. No problems at all. This is great considering that the end of blown up, but we blame Darrell for that, not the cigar.
The Liquor
Willett Reserve Small Batch 94 Proof Listed as Nose: Sweeter notes of corn and caramelized sugar, notes of cedar and pecan linger underneath. Palate: Starts with notes of citrus, caramel, and pepper. In the mid-palate, the citrus notes subside, and the caramel and pepper notes blend with a hint of dry oak. The medium duration finish includes lighter hints of the citrus, pepper, caramel, and oak that turn a bit dry at the end. Great looking bottle. Reminds me of I Dream of Jeannie. We both liked the Willett warm rather than chilled. The flavors changed slightly, but very good.
